It's Been a Long and a Dusty Road

Tom Paxton was one of my favorite songwriters when I was a teenager. He wrote the song "I Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound" in the 1960s. Forty years later, I still can't help but wonder. Then, I was ready to change the world. Now, I'm ready to retire.
When I was a teenager, there was only one right way, my way. There was only black and white. No gray. Now, I live in a world of multiple viewpoints and myriad coruscations of gray. Must be due to all the dust in the road.
